About the chapter

Pi Kappa Alpha was founded in 1868 at the University of Virginia. The Upsilon Chapter was chartered at Auburn on April 5, 1895 — making it one of the oldest fraternities on campus, with more than a century of brothers who've come through the same house on Magnolia.

The colors are garnet and old gold. The motto, the one you'll see across the chapter's Instagram, is simple: Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, Gentlemen. It's less a slogan than a checklist — what the chapter expects out of every brother, in that order.

The chapter house sits on West Magnolia, a short walk from campus and from Jordan-Hare. It's home base for chapter meetings, tailgates, swaps, and the philanthropy events on this site.

Pilates with Pike, Puppies with Pike, and Mikey's Italian Feast are the chapter's three standing philanthropy events each semester. Whatever they bring in, after costs, goes to the Pike Foundation. See the philanthropy schedule for dates.
